Creating a Vue.js app | Vue.js Series | Part - 1

Less than 500 views

Creating a new Vue.js app requires you to first install Vue and Vue-cli on your system.

Let us do that first.

Installing Vue

npm install vue -g

Installing Vue CLI

npm install -g @vue/cli

So, Vue has now been installed on our system. We can now begin with creating our app.

Creating a Vue app

vue create vuejs-app

This command will generate the necessary set of files and folders required for the app to run.

Our app got created.

Let us test our app by running it.

Our app is running at address - http://localhost:8080

If we goto this address in our browser, we can actually see our app running.

This port number 8080 depends on the system you are running the app. It might be 8081 for you, no problem.

In Part - 2 of the series we will begin with the basics of Vue.js, so stay tuned. If you have anything to share, let me know below in the comment section.
